The IPCC actually downgraded the sanction after viewing the film. Before he realised he had been filmed, DC Hurd made a false allegation of breach of the peace on the police STORM log the day
after the assault.
That was hurriedly withdrawn as the matter escalated.

As a result of legal action taken on behalf of Mr Bradbury, by solicitor Iain Gould, WYP paid out £13,500 in compensation for these and five other claims.
