I made a FM radio from a TV tuner with digital tuning (driven by I2C) using Atmel ATmega88A. Frequency is shown on display. Tuning works using 4 buttons: +50 kHz, -50 kHz, +500 kHz, -500 kHz. IR remote control using any remote control is supported. There are 10 station presets that can be toggled using remote control (and remembered using the fifth physical button, shown at the end of video). Output from PLL tuner is symmetrical IF which is downconverted to 10,7 MHz using NE612, IF is processed by U829B IC I salvaged from some old TV. The TV tuner also requires +33V which is made using MC34063 (because Vcc of the whole thing is 12V/0,2A). Output is fed into my PC speakers that also have the audio amplifier (but any amplifier will do, or you can connect headphones). Do you want to make this too? Full schematic, PCB and AVR program, on my website: http://mekweb.eu/?lang=en&q=download-...
